Stars line up for MYX VJ Mica

THERE are those who give their all-time, effort, resources just to be able to reach their dreams. Sleepless nights of tension and anxiety, rehearsing their lines in front of the mirror and hundreds of people falling in line for auditions. Ma. Michaela Froilan, or VJ Mica, never experienced any of those, until now. Not really consciously thinking of becoming a VJ, it can be said that being a MYX VJ is Mica's true destiny.

One night while her family was having dinner, she casually decided to join one of her friends who was on the way to the MYX VJ Search. It was an overwhelming and different experience for Mica to see all the aspirants auditioning to be part of the chosen VJs as it was her very first time to audition for anything! But her courage to line-up and her braveness to actually go with the flow paid off as the judges and staff behind MYX saw something special and extraordinary in Mica. The stars lined-up and fate brought her to where she is now, one of the four new MYX VJs.

She says that being a VJ is the perfect job for her since she loves music and we see that she has undeniable talent for hosting. Mica shares that performing is in her genes, as her parents and relatives are all artists one way or the other. Not particularly aiming to become a VJ, what was clear to Mica was that she definitely wanted to be in front of the camera. It can be said that she was definitely born for it.

Now that she has gotten used to the fact that she is already a TV personality, Mica says that the people around her do see her as someone who exudes happiness and positive energy. She adds that when you do something that you love and are passionate about, people will see it. Obviously being a music lover, Mica shares what music is for her, "like a part of my body. It's something that I can't function well with if I don't have it. "

Added to that, Mica spills that she became more confident now that she's a VJ. She's still a little shy but with more aggressiveness and initiative when it comes to conversing with other people. Another change that MYX has brought to her life is the fact that it has broadened her taste and perspective for music. Not limiting herself to her favorite genres, which is Hip-hop and RNB, Mica now gets to appreciate all types of music— from the oldies to club music to mellow love songs.

Being part of MYX, VJ Mica proudly states why she loves being with and working with the MYX family. When asked what sets MYX apart from other music channels, she explains, "I think the main thrust of MYX is promoting local music and promoting it 24/7 if possible. I think that's such a big achievement for MYX who really helped the local industry to become successful. "
